Non solo rocker, anche poeta. Jack White ha postato sul sito della sua etichetta, la Third Man Records, un testo intitolato Music is sacred.
Il testo esalta il valore spirituale della musica ed è una lunga incitazione a sovrastare i “i vigliacchi e coloro che vorrebbero strapparvi i polmoni e spegnere il vostro desiderio”. Qualcuno ha visto in questo testo una difesa indiretta di Tidal, il servizio di streaming musicale ideato da Jay-Z, in questi giorni al centro delle polemiche. In una nota, la Third Man Records ha smentito tutto: del resto, alcuni di questi versi White li ha sempre recitati dal vivo tra una canzone e l’altra.
