Con quattro grammofoni d’oro è Sam Smith, rivelazione musicale dello scorso anno, il grande vincitore dell’edizione dei Grammy Awards 2015. Suoi i premi di Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist e Best Pop Vocal Album.
Dietro il cantante inglese, la “padrona di casa” Beyoncè che però deve accontentarsi di “soli” tre premi (raggiungendo quota venti Grammy totali in carriera), dal momento che il premio più ambito, e per il quale era data per favorita, ovvero quello per l’album dell’anno è andato, a sorpresa, a Beck e al suo Morning Phase.
Tante le performance live che hanno caratterizzato la serata degli Oscar della musica americani: AC/DC, Rihanna, Kanye West e Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga con il crooner Tony Bennett, Madonna, Beyoncè, Katy Perry, insomma il meglio della musica pop mondiale al momento. Tra i premi “alternativi” vincono tra le tante categorie, Jack White (Best Alternative Music Album), Tenaciuos D (Best Metal Performance) Aphex Twin (Best Dance/Electronic Album).
